Who we are
PerfeTTO is the first Italian network of technology transfer offices (TTOs) in the Life Sciences sector, funded with a total investment of €30 million, of which €15 million is financed by the Ministry of Health through the National Complementary Plan (NCP) to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Innovative Health Ecosystem E.3.
The project, which brings together 54 centers of excellence located throughout Italy – including public and private IRCCS (Scientific Institutes for Research, Hospitalization, and Care), universities, foundations, and hospital companies – in the form of a Temporary Consortium, aims to promote a nationwide culture of technology transfer in the Life Sciences sector and to bridge the gap between research and society, fostering knowledge and generating social and cultural growth.
There are three coordinating centers: one in the north (Centro Cardiologico Monzino IRCCS), one in the center (Istituto Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori “Dino Amadori” IRST), and one in the south (Ente Ospedaliero Specializzato in Gastroenterologia “Saverio de Bellis” IRCCS). They work in synergy with partners to deliver, implement, and share training activities, best practices, guidelines, operating models, national and international databases, and research enhancement projects, with the future implementation of an IT platform with artificial intelligence capabilities.
